Happiness Practice - February 15, 2019

It's time for what's making us happy this week! 

I know I'm a little behind the times, but I'm almost all the way through Marie Kondo's Netflix show, and I've been enjoying it a lot. Not enough to actually tidy up my house OR declutter, but it's a soothing thing to watch, and she might be the most adorable person on television. The space transformations are nice, and while some of the families are a little odd, generally the people on the show just seem earnest and kind and it's all very wholesome. It's been a nice thing to decompress with, and a good reminder of how heavy stuff can be. 

The other thing making me happy this week is just sleep! I'm still working a lot, and I think I'm fighting a bit of a bug, so I've been sleeping a lot, and it's been really helpful. I'm really looking forward to the long weekend, when I can really sleep in a couple of times, but I'm doing fairly well with my bedtimes lately, and I'm getting better and better at curating my sleep hours and having better sleep hygiene. I think getting enough rest has helped me keep from getting sick, and even if I have managed to kick it without the extra sleep I'm still enjoying it! So while it's a little boring, I'm definitely really happy I've been managing to get enough sleep lately.
